Chair Bramble called the meeting to order at 7:06 a.m.

1.     HB0226S01 - Local Government Fee Authority (W. Harper)

    
Chair Bramble explained that Sen. Harper was unable to attend and present, but that an amendment was ready to submit.

     MOTION: Sen. Adams moved to adopt the amendment as follows:

The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Niederhauser, Sen. Stephenson, Sen. Stowell, and Sen. Romero absent for the vote.

    Mr. Burdick, Mr. VanTassell, Mr. Schulz, and Mr. Shurtz spoke in favor of the bill

    Mr. Chapman spoke in opposition to the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Stephenson moved to send 1st Substitute H.B. 226, as amended, out of committee with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Adams, Sen. Stowell, and Sen. Romero absent for the vote.

    Sen. Bramble explained that SB0158 Local Government Funding Amendments (C. Bramble), SB0187 - County Service Amendments (C. Bramble), SB028 - County Tax Amendments (J. Stevenson), SB0043S01 - Local District Fees (D. Thatcher) were not discussed as they were all related to 1st Substitute H.B. 226.

    Sen. Stephenson assumed the chair.

2.     SB0285 - Industrial Assistance Fund Amendments (C. Bramble)

    Sen. Bramble presented the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Valentine moved to send S.B. 285 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Adams absent for the vote.

3.     SB202 - Pharmaceutical Competitive Pricing (C. Bramble)

    
Sen. Bramble presented the bill.

    Mr. Hales spoke to the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Valentine moved to send S.B. 202 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.


    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Adams absent for the vote.

    Sen. Bramble resumed the chair.

4.     SB0030 - Extension of Recycling Market Development Zone Act and Related Credits (J. Valentine)

    Sen. Valentine presented the bill.

    Ms. Daly spoke in favor of the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Valentine moved to send S.B. 30 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Adams absent for the vote.

5.     HB0082S01 - Sales and Use Taxes on Certain Lodging Related Purchases (T. Kiser)

    Rep. Kiser presented the bill.

    Mr. Gardner spoke in opposition to the bill.

    Mr. Conover spoke to the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Stephenson moved to send 1st Substitute H.B. 82 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Adams, Sen. Valentine and Sen. Stowell absent for the vote.

6.     HB0098 - Capital Outlay Funding Modifications (C. Watkins)

    
This bill was not considered.

7.     HB0440 - Beer Tax Amendments (V. Peterson)

    Rep. Peterson presented the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Niederhauser moved to send H.B. 440 out of committee with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Adams, Sen. Valentine, Sen. Stowell, and Sen. McAdams absent for the vote.



     MOTION: Sen. Romero moved to place H.B. 440 on the Consent Calendar.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Adams, Sen. Valentine, Sen. Stowell, and Sen. McAdams absent for the vote.
        

    MOTION: Sen. Stephenson moved to adjourn.

    The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Adams, Sen. Valentine, Sen. Stowell, and Sen. McAdams absent for the vote.

    Chair Bramble adjourned the meeting at 8:22 a.m.
