A list of visitors and a copy of handouts are filed with the committee minutes.

Committee Chair Van Tassell called the meeting to order at 2:06 p.m. and announced that, at the request of the sponsor, S.B. 105 would not be heard today.

Approval of minutes.

    MOTION:
Sen. Adams moved to adopt the minutes of January 26, 2011.

    The motion passed unanimously.

1.     S.J.R. 4 Joint Resolution Approving Scenic Byway Corridor Management Plan (D.     Stowell)

    
Sen. Stowell presented the bill.

    Kent Sizemore, Executive Director, Five County Association of Governments, Zions Canyon     Corridor Council shared a power point presentation and spoke in support of the bill.

    Leigh Von der Esch, Managing Director, Utah Office of Tourism, Chairwoman, Utah State     Scenic Byway Committee and Tom Dansie, Director, Community Development for     Springdale, spoke in support of the bill.




    Craig Moody Lobbyist, Reagan Outdoor Advertising spoke to the bill.

     MOTION: Sen. Knudson moved to transmit S.J.R. 4 with a favorable recommendation.

    The motion passed unanimously.    

    MOTION: Jenkins moved to adjourn.

    The motion passed unanimously.

    Chair Van Tassell adjourned the meeting at 2:40 p.m.
