Chair Reid called the meeting to order at 9:05 a.m.
Approval of Minutes
MOTION: Sen. Okerlund moved to approve minutes of the February 15, 2011 meeting.
The motion passed unanimously with Sens. Waddoups and Jones absent for the vote.
1. S.B. 198 Division of Housing and Community Development Amendments
(S. Jenkins)
Sen. Jenkins explained the bill and answered questions from the committee.
Candace Daly, National Federation of Small Businesses, spoke in support of the bill.
Jacquie Nielsen, Economist, Tea Party expressed a concern about the bill.
Sen. Jenkins further explained the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Okerland moved to transmit S.B. 198 with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Jones absent for the vote.
2. S.B. 251 Lobbyist Training (M. Waddoups)
Sen. Waddoups explained the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Okerlund moved to transmit S.B. 251 with a favorable recommendation.
The motion passed unanimously.
MOTION: Sen. Okerlund moved to adjourn.
