8 General Description:
9 This bill appropriates money to the Department of Community and Culture for Fiscal
10 Year 2013.
11 Highlighted Provisions:

14 and economic development support program for Fiscal Year 2013.

29 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
30 Section 1. Appropriation.
31 Under the terms and conditions of Title 63J, Chapter 1, Budgetary Procedures Act, the
32 following sums of money are appropriated from resources not otherwise appropriated, or
33 reduced from amounts previously appropriated, out of the funds or accounts indicated for the
34 fiscal year beginning July 1, 2012 and ending June 30, 2013. These are additions to any
35 amounts previously appropriated for fiscal year 2013.
36 To the Department of Community and Culture
37 From General Fund, one-time H. [
38 Schedule of Programs:
39 Arts and Museums -- Museum Services H. [
40 The Legislature intends that, under Section 63J-1-603 of the Utah Code, appropriations
41 under this section not lapse at the close of fiscal year 2013. The use of any non-lapsing funds is
42 limited to providing grants or funding to entities that provide education and encourage
43 economic development through exhibits programs and events that feature Utah industry and
44 innovation.
45 Section 2. Effective date.
46 This bill takes effect on July 1, 2012.
47 Section 3. Coordinating H.B. 424 with H.B. 139 -- Technical amendments.
48 If this H.B. 424 and H.B. 139, Department of Community and Culture Amendments,
49 both pass and become law, the Legislature intends that the money be appropriated to the
50 Department of Heritage and Arts.
