7 General Description:
8 This resolution changes the name of the House Workforce Services and Community
9 and Economic Development Standing Committee to the House Economic Development
10 and Workforce Services Standing Committee.
11 Highlighted Provisions:
12 This resolution:
13 . changes the name of the House Workforce Services and Community and Economic
14 Development Standing Committee to the House Economic Development and
15 Workforce Services Standing Committee; and
16 . makes technical changes.
17 Special Clauses:
18 This resolution takes effect on April 1, 2012.

23 Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the state of Utah:
24 Section 1. HR3-2-201 is amended to read:
25 HR3-2-201. Standing Committees.
26 (1) The Speaker shall appoint the following standing committees, including appointing
27 a chair and vice-chair:
28 (a) Business and Labor;
29 (b) Economic Development and Workforce Services;

30 [(b)] (c) Education;
31 [(c)] (d) Government Operations;
32 [(d)] (e) Health and Human Services;
33 [(e)] (f) House Rules;
34 [(f)] (g) Judiciary;
35 [(g)] (h) Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice;
36 [(h)] (i) Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment;
37 [(i)] (j) Political Subdivisions;
38 [(j)] (k) Public Utilities and Technology;
39 [(k)] (l) Revenue and Taxation; and
40 [(l)] (m) Transportation[; and].
41 [(m) Workforce Services and Community and Economic Development.]
42 (2) The members of the Retirement and Independent Entities Committee created in
43 Utah Code Section 63E-1-201 who are appointed from the House of Representatives are a
44 standing committee.
45 Section 2. Effective date.
46 This resolution takes effect on April 1, 2012.
