             8      General Description:
             9          This bill provides flexibility in scheduling criterion-referenced tests or computer
             10      adaptive tests.
             11      Highlighted Provisions:
             12          This bill:
             13          .    allows a school district or charter school to administer a criterion-referenced test or
             14      computer adaptive test during any assessment window established by the State
             15      Board of Education to allow a student who completes course requirements early to
             16      take the test immediately after completing the course requirements.

             25      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             26          Section 1. Section 53A-1-603.1 is enacted to read:
             27          53A-1-603.1. Administration of tests to a student who completes course


             28      requirements early.
             29          (1) A school district or charter school may administer a criterion-referenced test or
             30      computer adaptive test required to be administered under Section 53A-1-603 during any
             31      assessment window established by the State Board of Education to allow a student who
             32      completes course requirements early to take the test immediately after completing the course
             33      requirements.
             34          (2) A school district or charter school shall:
             35          (a) use the state's computer-based testing system to administer a criterion-referenced
             36      test or computer adaptive test pursuant to Subsection (1); and
             37          (b) supervise the test administration.
