8 LONG TITLE
9 General Description:
10 This resolution changes the name of the Workforce Services and Community and
11 Economic Development Interim Committee to the Economic Development and
12 Workforce Services Interim Committee.
13 Highlighted Provisions:
14 This resolution:
15 . changes the name of the Workforce Services and Community and Economic
16 Development Interim Committee to the Economic Development and Workforce
17 Services Interim Committee; and
18 . makes technical changes.
19 Special Clauses:
20 This resolution takes effect on April 1, 2012.

25 Be it resolved by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
26 Section 1. IR1-1-201 is amended to read:
27 IR1-1-201. Interim committees established -- Membership -- Chairs -- Chair

28 duties.
29 (1) The President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House shall:
30 (a) appoint members from their respective chambers to serve on the following joint
31 interim committees:
32 (i) Business and Labor Interim Committee;
33 (ii) Economic Development and Workforce Services Interim Committee;
34 [(ii)] (iii) Education Interim Committee;
35 [(iii)] (iv) Government Operations Interim Committee;
36 [(iv)] (v) Health and Human Services Interim Committee;
37 [(v)] (vi) Judiciary Interim Committee;
38 [(vi)] (vii) Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Interim Committee;
39 [(vii)] (viii) Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment Interim Committee;
40 [(viii)] (ix) Political Subdivisions Interim Committee;
41 [(ix)] (x) Public Utilities and Technology Interim Committee;
42 [(x)] (xi) Retirement and Independent Entities Interim Committee;
43 [(xi)] (xii) Revenue and Taxation Interim Committee; and
44 [(xii)] (xiii) Transportation Interim Committee; and
45 [(xiii) Workforce Services and Community and Economic Development Interim
46 Committee; and]
47 (b) appoint one member from their chamber to serve as cochair of each interim
48 committee.
49 (2) The chairs of each interim committee, meeting jointly, shall:
50 (a) determine the agenda for committee meetings;
51 (b) assist and give direction to staff in the conduct of the committee's business; and
52 (c) perform other duties assigned by the committee.
53 Section 2. Effective date.
54 This resolution takes effect on April 1, 2012.
