Mr. President:

    The Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment Committee reports a favorable recommendation on S.B. 83, UINTAH BASIN ENERGY ZONES, by Senator K. Van Tassell, with the following amendments:

1.    Page 13, Lines 373 through 374 :    

             373      maintain the goals, purposes, and policies described in this section.

      (7) Notwithstanding the provisions of this section, the state's grazing and livestock policies and plans on land within the Uintah Basin Energy Zone shall continue to be governed by Sections 63J-1-104, 63J-4-401, and 63J-8-104.      

             374          Section 4. Effective date.
