Vice Chair Galvez called the meeting to order at 4:10 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Greenwood moved to approve the minutes of the February 24, 2012 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Chavez-Houck, Rep. Perry, and Rep. Vickers absent for the vote.

H.B. 382    Constitutional Defense Council - Posting of Public Information (Rep. K. Ivory)

Rep. Ivory introduced the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Powell moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Perry absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Powell moved to place H.B. 382 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Perry absent for the vote.

H.C.R. 3    Concurrent Resolution on Airport Security (Rep. K. Ivory)

Rep. Ivory introduced the resolution to the committee and provided a handout to committee members.

MOTION:    Rep. Frank moved to pass the resolution out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.




H.B. 493    Campaign Finance Disclosure Amendments (Rep. K. Powell)

MOTION:    Rep. Powell moved to adopt 1st Substitute H.B. 493. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Perry absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Powell moved to amend the bill as follows:

1.    Page 14, Lines 411 through 416 :    

             411          
{   [   } (ii) the name and address of each person contributing at least $100 to the person

             412      described in Subsection (2)(a) for the purpose of disseminating the electioneering
             413      communication;
{   ]   }

The motion to amend the bill passed unanimously with Rep. Perry absent for the vote.

Rep. Powell introduced the substitute bill and the amendment to the committee.
