Rep. Sanpei, acting chair, called the meeting to order at 8:15 a.m.
H.C.R. 14 Concurrent Resolution Supporting Education Regarding, and Prevention of, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (Rep. E. Hutchings)
Rep. Hutchings presented the resolution to the committee with the assistance of Mr. Glenn Lanham, Executive Director, American Lung Association of Utah.
MOTION: Rep. Chavez-Houck moved to pass the resolution out favorably. The motion passed with Rep. McCay voting in opposition. Rep. Vickers and Rep. Watkins were absent for the vote.
S.J.R. 12 Utah Mitochondrial Disease Awareness Week Joint Resolution (Sen. M. Madsen)
Sen. Madsen presented the resolution to the committee with the assistance of Ms. Laura McCluskey, United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation of Utah.
MOTION: Rep. Cosgrove moved to pass the resolution out favorably. The motion passed with Rep. McCay voting in opposition. Rep. Vickers was absent for the vote.
MOTION: Rep. Daw moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Vickers absent for the vote.
Rep. Sanpei adjourned the meeting at 8:40 a.m.
