Vice Chair Sandstrom called the meeting to order at 2:08 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Hendrickson moved to approve the minutes of the Jan. 30, 2012 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Watkins and Rep. Wilcox absent for the vote.

H.C.R. 5    Concurrent Resolution Designating February 18, 2012 Congressional Gold Medal Day for Certain Veterans (Rep. C. Oda)

Rep. Oda introduced and explained the resolution to the committee with the assistance of Jani Iwamoto, Salt Lake County Council .

Spoke for the resolution:    Ms. Suzan Yoshimura, citizen




MOTION:    Rep. Galvez moved to amend the resolution as follows:

1.    Page 2, Line 30 :

The motion to amend passed unanimously.

MOTION:    Rep. Mathis moved to pass the resolution out favorably as amended. The motion passed unanimously.

H.C.R. 9    Concurrent Resolution Recognizing 75th Anniversary of Ducks Unlimited (Rep. C. Oda)

Rep. Oda introduced the resolution to the committee with the assistance of Barry Crose, Craig Garner, and Scott Sabey, Ducks Unlimited.

Spoke for the resolution:    Ms. Robin Thomas, Utah Department of Wildlife Resources

MOTION:    Rep. Hendrickson moved to pass out the resolution favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:    Rep. Wilcox moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
