Chair Barrus called the meeting to order at 2:12 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Wilcox moved to approve the minutes of Feb. 8, 2012. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Dee and Rep. Watkins absent for the vote.

S.B. 132    Reauthorization of Radiation Control Act (Sen. P. Knudson) (Rep. R. Menlove)

Sen. Knudson introduced the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Hendrickson moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Dee and Rep. Watkins absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Painter moved to place SB132 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Dee and Rep. Watkins absent for the vote.



S.B. 133    Reauthorization of Mercury Switch Removal Act (Sen. P. Knudson) (Rep. R. Menlove)


Sen. Knudson introduced the bill to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Painter moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Dee and Rep. Watkins absent for the vote.

Rep. Briscoe introduced the bill to the committee with the assistance of Mr. Kent Jones, Utah Division of Water Rights.

MOTION:    Rep. Wilcox moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Dee absent.
