Vice Chair Handy called the meeting to order at 2:08 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Cox moved to approve the minutes of January 25, 2012. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Hemingway, Rep. Ivory, and Rep. Wilcox absent for the vote.

H.C.R. 6    Navajo Electrification Demonstration Project Concurrent Resolution (Rep. C. Watkins)

Rep. Watkins introduced H.C.R. 6 to the committee.

MOTION:    Rep. Wilcox moved to pass the resolution out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:    Rep. Wilcox moved to place H.C.R. 6 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously.


H.B. 293    Amendments to Vehicle Oversize and Overweight Permits (Rep. W. Harper)

Rep. Harper introduced the bill, assisted by Chad Sheppick, Director of Motor Carriers, UDOT.

MOTION:    Rep. Hendrickson moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:    Rep. Hendrickson moved to place H.B. 293 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously.

S.B. 28    State Construction Code Amendments (Sen. J. Valentine)

MOTION:    Rep. Herrod moved to amend the bill as follows:
