Chair Bird called the meeting to order at 4:10 p.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Litvack moved to approve the minutes of the February 24, 2012 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Sanpei absent for the vote.

H.B. 186    State Licensing Amendments (Rep. D. McCay)

Rep. McCay explained the bill to the committee.

Spoke for the bill:    Matthew Piccolo, Sutherland Institute

No action was taken on the bill.

H.B. 424    Museum Appropriation Amendments (Rep. T. Kiser)

Rep. Kiser explained the bill to the committee assisted by Michael Levinthal, Levinthal Capital, Alexandra Hesse, The Leonardo, and Greg Fredde, Merit Medical Systems, who distributed a handout.

MOTION:    Rep. Wheatley moved to send out H.B. 424 with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Litvack and Rep. Sanpei absent for the vote.



H.B. 482    Severance Tax Funding for Certain Programs (Rep. K. Ivory)

Rep. Ivory explained the bill to the committee.

Spoke against the bill:    Allison Rowland, Voices for Utah Children

MOTION:    Rep. Grover moved to send out H.B. 482 with favorable recommendation. The motion passed with Rep. Wheatley voting in opposition and Rep. Litvack and Rep. Sanpei absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Grover moved to adjourn. The motion passed with Rep. Litvack and Rep. Sanpei absent for the vote.
