Chair Osmond called the meeting to order at 3:29 pm.

S.B. 39    Gubernatorial Authority over Higher Education Officials (Sen. S. Reid)

Sen. Reid introduced and explained the bill.

Spoke to the bill:     Dave Buhler, Associate Commissioner, Utah System of Higher Education        
            Rob Brems, President, Utah College of Applied Technology
            
MOTION:    Sen. Stephenson moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Hillyard absent for the vote.

S.B. 31    Classroom Size Amendments (Sen. K. Morgan)

Sen. Morgan introduced and explained the bill.

Chair Osmond adjourned the meeting at 4:36 pm.
