Chair Knudson called the meeting to order at 4:07 p.m.
Approval of Minutes
MOTION: Sen. Anderson moved to approve the minutes of the January 30, 2012 and January 31, 2012 meetings. The motion passed unanimously.
S.B. 120 Off-duty Peace Officers' Employment (Sen. M. Dayton)
Sen. Dayton introduced and explained the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Dayton moved to amend the bill as follows:
1. Page 2, Lines 31 through 32 :
31 (b) the policy under Subsection (1)(a) is
:
(i)
posted and publicly available on the
{
Internet
32 and available at the law enforcement agency's main office for public inspection and copying }
appropriate city, county, or state website
;
or
(ii)
posted on the Utah Public Notice Website created in Section
63F-1-701 if the law enforcement agency does not have access to a website
under Subsection (1)(b)(i).
The motion passed with Sen. Jenkins voting in opposition.

MOTION: Sen. Dayton moved to pass the amended bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION: Sen. Jenkins moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously. Chair Knudson adjourned the meeting at 4:24 p.m.
