Acting Chair Weiler called the meeting to order at 8:47 a.m.
    
MOTION:    Sen. Hillyard moved to approve the minutes of the February 9, 2012 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Madsen, Sen. McAdams and Sen. Romero absent for the vote.

H.B. 97    Racketeering Amendment (Rep. J. Seelig)
    
Rep. Seelig introduced and explained the bill.

Spoke to the bill:    Officer Dan Brewster, Salt Lake City Police Department                                

MOTION:    Sen. Hillyard moved to pass H.B. 97 out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Madsen, Sen. McAdams and Sen. Romero absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Sen. Hillyard moved to place H.B. 97 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Madsen, Sen. McAdams and Sen. Romero absent for the vote.
