Chair Reid called the meeting to order at 8:33 a.m.
Approval of Minutes
MOTION: Sen. Osmund moved to adopt the minutes of the February 21, 2012 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Morgan absent for the vote.
Committee Chair announced that S.J.R. 25, H.B. 312, and H.J.R. 17 have been previously discussed in committee and appear on the Agenda today. The bills were not read in on the Senate Floor by the Rules Committee in time for the committee to have official possession of them.
S.J.R. 25 Joint Resolution Honoring Steve Appleton (Sen. J. Valentine)
Sen. Valentine introduced and explained the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Stevenson moved to send S.J.R. 25 out of committee with a favorable
recommendation. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Morgan absent for the vote.
MOTION: Sen. Jones moved to place S.J.R. 25 on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Morgan absent for the vote.

MOTION: Sen. Jones moved to send H.J.R. 17 out of committee with a favorable recommendation. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Morgan absent for the vote.
MOTION: Sen. Jones moved that H.J.R. 17 be placed on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Morgan absent for the vote.

Sen. Reid introduced and explained the bill.
