10 This bill amends provisions related to certain entities at Dixie State University.
11 Highlighted Provisions:
12 This bill:
13 ▸ amends the name of the Center for Media Innovation at Dixie State University to
14 refer to it more broadly and allow Dixie State University to change the name of the
15 center.

24 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
25 Section 1. Section 53B-16-501 is amended to read:
26 53B-16-501. Nonprofit corporations or foundations -- Purpose.
27 (1) Dixie State University may form a nonprofit corporation or foundation controlled
28 by the president of the [college] university and the Board of Regents to aid and assist the
29 [college] university in attaining its charitable, communications, and other related educational
30 objectives, including support for [the Center for Media Innovation] media innovation, film
31 festivals, film production, print media, broadcasting, television, and digital media.
32 (2) The nonprofit corporation or foundation may receive and administer legislative
33 appropriations, government grants, contracts, and private gifts to carry out its public purposes.
