This bill would allow a Juvenile Court Judge to sentence a minor found in contempt to any disposition available under the current judicial code (78-3a-516). Assuming that 850 additional youth would be so sentenced, there would be a requirement for additional probation officers in the Juvenile Court and additional slots, programs, and staff in the Division of Youth Corrections. Cost to the Courts would be approximately $169,000 and for the Division of Youth Corrections $1,674,100.
