This legislation would require the State Developmental Center, when leasing land and facilities on its campus to public and higher education institutions, to do so at no charge. Currently such lease payments (net of expenses) are deposited into the Trust Fund for People with Disabilities for use by the Division and the Developmental Center. The Developmental Center has two such leases providing net annual revenues of $63,700 to the Fund. More facilities could be made available to public educational institutions in the future. There would be a cost savings of $97,800 to the educational institutions.
