This bill upgrades certain offenses. As such, it will add to the length of sentences for offenders already being sentenced to prison. If one additional individual per year is subjected to the sentencing upgrade, it will mean a fiscal impact starting in FY 2002 at $22,500 and peaking in FY 2005 at $90,000.
