Passage of this bill, as amended, will require the following funding increases if the Legislature elects to provide funding: a 7.28 percent increase in the contribution rate for the Public Safety Noncontributory Retirement System, and a one-time expenditure of $30,000,000. This would result in an estimated fiscal impact of $34,329,800 in FY 2000 from various sources which includes $30,173,600 from the General Fund.
