Provisions of this bill requires a ground water discharge permit for all radioactive material waste facilities. The bill also allows for permitting of facilities to receive B and C classifications of nuclear waste. If one such facility applied for permitting and it required groundwater discharge permits, the estimated cost would be $517,600 in FY 2000 and $507,500 in FY 2001. Funding sources would be $180,100 from the General Fund and $337,500 from collections of fees allowed by laws governing regulatory agencies. Funding sources for FY 2001 would be $170,000 from the General Fund and $337,500 from fee collections.
