The Division of Purchasing and General Services will require two additional FTEs and computer equipment to ensure compliance on the 7,000 contracts managed by the division. Assuming contractors will pass along expenses to the States, DFCM estimates approximately $3,000,000 in additional costs for State construction projects. The Department of Human Services estimates their providers' cost of current services would increase by over $4 million. Public Education has estimated the cost of contract services to increase by about $4.2 million. The higher costs may result in the State contracting for less services and projects.
