It is estimated that it could cost $1,450,000 from available budgets and other appropriations to enact provisions of this bill in FY 2000. However, the bill does not mandate these expenditures. It is estimated to cost $100,000 annually to continue upkeep of properties as required in the bill. There is a possibility that development of these wet lands could be cheaper than purchasing land and developing wet lands in other locations.
