To enforce the provisions of this bill, an appropriation of $57,000 from the Commerce Service Fund for an additional Commerce Investigator is needed in FY 2000. This includes $4,000 for one-time costs. The appropriation may need to be increased in subsequent years depending on the caseload. There will also be some additional expense in Corrections for felony probation cases. Initially it is estimated that this can be absorbed within existing budgets.
