AMENDED NOTE
For Fiscal Year 2000 and 2001, direct costs associated with Section 3 of the bill will be accommodated within base resources or offset by efficiencies and productivity improvements as indicated by the State's Chief Information Officer. However, unless offset by increased fees or additional service charges not addressed by this bill, transaction costs related to processing of electronic payments for driver's licenses, professional and occupational licenses, UCC filings, and business and product registration may negatively impact revenues in all years. Section 5 of the bill would require per diem, travel, and other expenses of $9,000 for the task force in FY 2000.
