This bill transfers the existing FTEs and funding of the following programs serving veterans to a new entity within the National Guard. Veterans Affairs (Department of Community and Economic Development) with a budget of $171,000; Veterans' Nursing Home (Department of Health) with a budget of $2,685,600; and the Cemetary (Department of Natural Resources) with a budget of $167,700. The cost of a Division Director, secretary, and systems support for the new entity is estimated at $211,600, which includes $70,000 for one time set up costs. In addition, this bill adds data collection and reporting on all governmental entities within the state which will cost $50,000 in set up and $5,000 annual operations for the state and a like amount for the local governments.
