Line Item: GFR - Homeless Account

Function

The funds come from appropriations and contributions from individuals on their income tax returns. The funds provide a competitive grant program for services such as shelter, case management, and outreach for homeless individuals.

Intent Language

Under Section 63J-1-603 of the Utah Code, the Legislature intends that up to $1,500,000 of Item 63 of Chapter 416, Laws of Utah 2012 of unused funds appropriated for the Pamela Atkinson Homeless Trust Fund Special Projects line item not lapse at the close of Fiscal Year 2013. The use of any nonlapsing funds is limited to building projects.
