Utah's Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Assistance Center (SSAC) was established in June 2008 and is located at Salt Lake Community College - Miller Campus in Sandy, Utah. It is the State's Small Business source for information and assistance with SBIR and STTR grant location, preparation and submission. SSAC is the acronym used to refer to the SBIR-STTR Resource Center.
The SSAC is primarily focused on grants for small businesses across the state. It helps innovative, technology-oriented businesses with less than 500 people with new discoveries or innovative concepts to get the funding they need to continue their path towards commercalization. Assistance may include research grants, editing and writing assistance, submission support, and training opportunities for finding funding.
