Appropriation Overview

During the 2015 General Session, the Legislature appropriated for Fiscal Year 2016, $5,222,000 from all sources for Region 3. This is a 2.3 percent increase from Fiscal Year 2015 revised estimated amounts from all sources.

Transfer of funding associated with UDOT FTE transfers between line items

Region 3 covers an area from the east side of the State to the west border with Nevada. They serve the six counties of Dagget, Duchesne, Juab, Uintah, Utah, and Wasatch. Headquarters for Region 3 are located at Orem. With both rural and urban demands, the Region has a diversified work load.

HB0003: Item 34

Under the terms of Utah Annotated Code 63J-1-603(3)(a) , the Legislature intends that appropriations provided for Region Management in Item 5, Chapter 4, Laws of Utah 2014, not lapse at the close of Fiscal Year 2015. The use of any non-lapsing funds is limited to Region Management ($200,000).
