Office of Homeless Services Update
2 - Utah's Action Plan to Address Homelessness Handout (Homeless Services Board)
Randy Shumway, Chair, Utah Homeless Services Board and Wayne Niederhauser, President, Office of Homeless Services, presented an action plan to address homelessness in Utah, including recommendations and proposed legislative priorities.
Rep. Dailey-Provost asked clarifying questions.
Rep. Clancy spoke on the recent historic expansion of shelter in Utah, and the idea that it may have allowed the State to obtain more accurate numbers for homeless individuals and asked a clarifying question.
Randy Shumway and Wayne Niederhauser continued the presentation.
Rep. Eliason provided clarifying information relating to the Plan to Address Homelessness handout.
Sen. Escamilla discussed concerns relating to the presentation and recommendations.
