Printing & Bill Room

Printing

The LSO printing staff provides typesetting, graphics, printing, and publishing services to the Legislature, other legislative staff offices, and other state agencies.

During the General Session, printing staff is responsible for preparation and printing of the daily House and Senate journals, printing of House and Senate bills, amendments, agendas, and status sheets, and miscellaneous printing as needed by the Legislature. Outside of General Session, printing staff publishes the final bound versions of the House and Senate journals, the Laws of Utah, reports, newsletters, manuals, management audits, and other legislative and state agency publications.

Printing staff is also responsible for the distribution of legislative publications and coordinates bulk purchases of the Utah Code Annotated and Utah Code Unannotated for governmental entities in order to obtain substantial cost savings to the state.

Bill Room

The LSO bill room is where members of the public and state agencies can get copies of legislative information and publications, and other printing services as available.

The bill room has post office style boxes available for rent to obtain General Session information. A renter may pay in advance to have copies of the renter’s choice of bills or daily journals put in the mailbox for convenience. The locked boxes are available to renters outside of normal operating hours in the bill room lobby.
