All Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) regions throughout the state have access to the Adoption Exchange program. "The Adoption Exchange is located in Salt Lake County, however, the contractor is contracted to provide services to help all of DCFS, no matter what region or county . . . This is a statewide contract for services that DCFS can use as we need to list children for adoption. Distribution is to the most populace area of the State. However, the provider covers the entire State."
Regarding the positive trend greater than 5% in the percent satisfactory outcomes on qualitative case reviews from the DCFS Administration program performance measures, the agency states, "The drop two years ago was the result of some very low scores in one region. This affected the overall scores for the state. There was concerted effort to improve the performance in the areas identified in the QCR in that particular region and to support continued practice improvement in the other regions as well. The following year we saw improvement that was sustained in the QCR this year."
