             8      General Description:
             9          This bill repeals provisions requiring a media owner to file a statement when a
             10      newspaper or periodical prints information that may influence an election and related
             11      criminal provisions.

             24          20A-11-102, as enacted by Laws of Utah 1995, Chapter 1
             25          20A-11-1101, as enacted by Laws of Utah 1995, Chapter 1

             27      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             28          Section 1. Repealer.
             29          This bill repeals:


             30          Section 20A-11-102, Candidates and committee members to file statement of
             31      ownership of publication.
             32          Section 20A-11-1101, Illegal to publish political materials in certain publications
             33      under certain conditions.
