             7      LONG TITLE
             8      General Description:
             9          This bill modifies the Public Safety Code regarding the Bail Bond Recovery Licensure
             10      Board.
             11      Highlighted Provisions:
             12          This bill:
             13          .    eliminates the requirement for specific members of the board to make a quorum.
             14      Money Appropriated in this Bill:
             15          None
             16      Other Special Clauses:
             17          None
             18      Utah Code Sections Affected:
             19      AMENDS:
             20          53-11-106, as enacted by Laws of Utah 1998, Chapter 257
             21     
             22      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             23          Section 1. Section 53-11-106 is amended to read:
             24           53-11-106. Board meetings and hearings -- Quorum.
             25          (1) The board shall meet at the call of the chair, but not less often than once each
             26      quarter.
             27          (2) A quorum consists of three members[, but the quorum shall include one peace
             28      officer, one person licensed under this chapter and one public member].
             29          (3) If a member has three or more unexcused absences within a 12-month period, the


             30      commissioner shall determine if that board member should be released from board duties.
