 S.B. 208 National Certification Teacher Incentive Amendments (Mayne, K.)
 Sen. Karen Mayne explained the bill with the assistance Diana Suddreth, Director of Teaching and Learning, Utah State Board of Education.
 Brad Asay, President, American Federation of Teachers of Utah, spoke in favor of the bill.
 Sara Jones, Director of Education Excellence and Government Relations, Utah Education Association, spoke in favor of the bill.
 Elizabeth Weight, former teacher, spoke in favor of the bill.
 Rep. Watkins moved to pass S.B. 208 out favorably.
 Rep. Robertson moved to amend S.B. 208 with Amendment #1.
 Rep. Robertson withdrew the motion.
 Rep. Watkins' motion to pass S.B. 208 out favorably
 Rep. Snow assumed the chair.
 H.J.R. 27 Joint Resolution Recognizing School Bus Drivers (Weight, E.)
 Rep. Elizabeth Weight explained the resolution.

 Rep. Poulson moved to pass H.J.R. 27 out favorably.
 H.B. 454 Tuition Waiver and Scholarship Study (Ballard, M.G.)
 Rep. Melissa G. Ballard explained the bill with the assistance of Spencer Jenkins, Assistant Commissioner for Public Affairs, Utah State Board of Regents.
 Rep. Waldrip moved to replace H.B. 454 with 1st Substitute H.B. 454.
 Rep. Waldrip moved to pass 1st Substitute H.B. 454 out favorably.
