Rep. Kwon presented the bill with the assistance of Major Scott Stephenson, Peace Officer Standards and Training Director. A handout was provided.
Nate Mutter, Law Enforcement Legislative Committee Co-chair, spoke in support of the bill.
Rep. Romero moved to amend H.B. 296 with Amendment #1.
Rep. Hollins moved to pass H.B. 296 out favorably as amended.
Rep. Burton assumed the chair.
