             8      General Description:
             9          This bill authorizes, in certain circumstances, a local district to provide a credit for a
             10      fee charged by the local district.
             11      Highlighted Provisions:
             12          This bill:
             13          .    authorizes, in certain circumstances, a local district to provide a credit for a fee
             14      charged by the local district.

             20      ENACTS:
             21          17B-1-645, Utah Code Annotated 1953

             23      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             24          Section 1. Section 17B-1-645 is enacted to read:
             25          17B-1-645. Residential fee credit.
             26          (1) A local district may create a fee structure under this title that permits:
             27          (a) a home owner or residential tenant to file for a fee credit for a fee charged by the
             28      local district, if the credit is based on:
             29          (i) the home owner's annual income; or


             30          (ii) the residential tenant's annual income; or
             31          (b) an owner of federally subsidized housing to file for a credit for a fee charged by the
             32      local district.
             33          (2) If a local district permits a person to file for a fee credit under Subsection (1)(a),
             34      the local district shall make the credit available to:
             35          (a) a home owner; and
             36          (b) a residential tenant.
