FY 2016 Appropriation

To accommodate students with hearing impairments, the Legislature approved FY 2015 funding of $796,300. The funding reimburses institutions for expenses incurred for interpreters and note takers. Funding is available to USHE institutions as well as UCAT campuses.

During the 2015 General Session, the Legislature appropriated for Fiscal Year 2016, $796,300 from all sources for Services for Hearing Impaired Students. This is a 0 percent change from Fiscal Year 2015 revised estimated amounts from all sources. The total includes $796,300 from the General/Education Funds, a change of 0 percent from revised Fiscal Year 2015 estimates.
