The Student Support line item provides programmatic support for students with special needs, concurrent enrollment, and transfer students. Student Support funding also maintains the Campus Compact Initiative.
During the 2015 General Session, the Legislature appropriated for Fiscal Year 2016, $1,599,800 from all sources for Student Support. This is a 1 percent increase from Fiscal Year 2015 revised estimated amounts from all sources. The total includes $1,599,000 from the General/Education Funds, an increase of 1 percent from revised Fiscal Year 2015 estimates.
In addition to statewide compensation and internal service fund cost increases, the following appropriation adjustments were made during the 2015 General Session:
Hearing Impaired Expenditures, Semester Hours Earned, Service Hours (New Century), Number of Success Stipends, WICHE Completions, Number of TH Bell Awards
Costs associated with students with hearing impairment, concurrent enrollment semester hours earned, and service hours performed are the performance measures associated with this line item. Concurrent hours decreased in FY 2013 and FY 2014 due to the change in how semester hours were recorded going from hours attempted to hours earned.
