During the 2015 General Session, the Legislature appropriated for Fiscal Year 2016, $100,000 from all sources for Children's Hearing Aid Pilot Program Account. This is a 0 percent change from Fiscal Year 2015 revised estimated amounts from all sources. The total includes $100,000 from the General/Education Funds, a change of 0 percent from revised Fiscal Year 2015 estimates.

Children's Hearing Aid Pilot Program - UCA 26-10-11 requires midterm and final reports to the Health and Human Services Interim Committee. The most recent report is available at http://health.utah.gov/legislativereports/CHAPPInterimReport2014.pdf. Here is a quote from the report: "100% of (Children's Hearing Aid Pilot Program) recipients are enrolled in Part C early intervention (vs. the national average of 60%)."


UCA 26-10-11 creates the Children's Hearing Aid Pilot Program Restricted Account to provide hearing aids to qualifying children who are not eligible for Medicaid or the Children's Health Insurance Program.

The monthly caseload is the number of children provided with hearing aids.
