FY 2016 Appropriation

The Child Nutrition Program Commodities Fund includes payments received from non-public recipients and recovered costs form the carrier for damaged goods. The revenues and expenditures are recorded in the Child Nutrition Program Commodities Expendable Trust Fund to pay the transportation carriers.

Appropriation Overview

During the 2015 General Session, the Legislature appropriated for Fiscal Year 2016, $200 from all sources for Child Nutrition Program Commodities Fund. This is a 75 percent reduction from Fiscal Year 2015 revised estimated amounts from all sources.

The Legislature determined that the Child Nutrition Program Commodities Fund should be reviewed each year and be included in an appropriations act.
