FY 2016 Appropriation

The Agricultural Experiment Station has research facilities located throughout the state. The Station oversees hundreds of research projects that promote agriculture and human nutrition, and enhance the quality of rural life. Its labs test soils, plant tissue, irrigation water, and livestock feed. It researches food safety and processing, plant and animal genetics, and brings agriculture into harmony with natural resources.

Appropriation Overview

During the 2015 General Session, the Legislature appropriated for Fiscal Year 2016, $14,284,700 from all sources for Agriculture Experiment Station. This is a 3 percent increase from Fiscal Year 2015 revised estimated amounts from all sources. The total includes $12,297,100 from the General/Education Funds, a reduction of 1.4 percent from revised Fiscal Year 2015 estimates.
