FY 2016 Appropriation

Federal funds for the Commercial Driver License (CDL) program are contained within this program. This funding is intended to help states comply with statutory standards for their CDL programs.

Appropriation Overview

During the 2015 General Session, the Legislature appropriated for Fiscal Year 2016, $308,900 from all sources for DL Federal Grants. This is a 13.2 percent reduction from Fiscal Year 2015 revised estimated amounts from all sources.

Intent Language

HB0003: Item 29

Under section 63J-1-603 of the Utah Code, the Legislature intends that appropriations provided for The Department of Public Safety -Driver License line item not lapse at the close of Fiscal Year 2015.
