The curriculum in General Financial Literacy stresses basic budgeting to financial investments, including bankruptcy education and a general financial literacy test-out option.
During the 2015 General Session, the Legislature appropriated for Fiscal Year 2016, $169,700 from all sources for General Financial Literacy. This is a 30.2 percent reduction from Fiscal Year 2015 revised estimated amounts from all sources. The total includes $175,300 from the General/Education Funds, a reduction of 29.6 percent from revised Fiscal Year 2015 estimates.
