FY 2016 Appropriation

The Water Development Security Fund (WDSF) provides funding to administer loan programs. The WDSF includes the Water Quality Security subaccount and the Drinking Water Security subaccount. State money in the Water Quality Security subaccount may be applied to meet match requirements for federal funds.

It is made up by the following subaccounts:

  • Utah Wastewater Loan Program;
  • Utah State Revolving Fund for Wastewater Projects;
  • Hardship Grant Program for Wastewater Projects; and
  • Water Quality Origination Fee.

Federal Grants

Appropriation Overview

During the 2015 General Session, the Legislature appropriated for Fiscal Year 2016, $41,817,500 from all sources for WSDA - Water Pollution. This is a 50.6 percent increase from Fiscal Year 2015 revised estimated amounts from all sources.
