The Prehistoric Museum, located in Price, has made a name for itself in the scientific community by operating 51 dinosaur quarries and participating in archaeological surveys. The museum is accredited by the American Association of Museums.
During the 2015 General Session, the Legislature appropriated for Fiscal Year 2016, $267,100 from all sources for Prehistoric Museum. This is a 37.3 percent reduction from Fiscal Year 2015 revised estimated amounts from all sources. The total includes $267,100 from the General/Education Funds, an increase of 3.6 percent from revised Fiscal Year 2015 estimates.
