The Central TOIP was established in November 2006 and is located within Utah Valley University. The Central TOIP region has a niche for electronic development such as software, applications, and high-tech gadgets. It focuses on business development along the Wasatch Front and central locations of Utah.
The Central TOIP provides business assistance services such as consulting, plan development, market/opportunity analysis, networking, product developing/testing, patent research, and presentations/connections to investor groups. It also provides Go to Market funding for its region.
During the 2015 General Session, the Legislature appropriated for Fiscal Year 2016, $575,500 from all sources for Central. This is a 12.9 percent reduction from Fiscal Year 2015 revised estimated amounts from all sources. The total includes $575,500 from the General/Education Funds, a reduction of 4.1 percent from revised Fiscal Year 2015 estimates.
